A Park of a Country

More scenes from Avatar, …can’t help calling it that. It’s actually called the OCBC Skyway at the Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

Back to Singapore, …might as well finish off the post since I’ve downloaded the photos and sorted them out huh?

Singapore’s slowly turning into a huge park, not for a bad cause actually.

Especially when Jogging seems to be the national pastime of Singapore. I kid you not! These health freaks here jog at all hours of the day. We’ve seen people jogging at lunch time, and at 3pm and at midnight. And it’s not one odd fellow, it’s a couple here, and a group there, and a family here, and so on!

Scenes from the MacRitchie Reservoir. We were there at about three-ish and there were loads of people. Freshening up after a run, or preparing for a run (Jason was one of ‘em). And this was right under the afternoon sun, in hot and humid, tropical territory. These weren’t only kids or college going students. There were professional looking middle aged people. And it was not a Saturday or a Sunday. It was a friggin working Tuesday.

The Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, those two white dinosaur fossil like structures, at the Gardens by the Bay

Scenes from the Flower Dome – succulent plants and baobabs above, flowers fit for Easter below

The man-made space age waterfall in the Cloud Forest

From outside the Flower Dome, …or was it the Cloud Forest?? What the heck, they’re inter-connected anyway

Marina Bay Sands, from the Gardens

An evening view of Marina Bay
