What better way to celebrate in Dubai, than to do it in some really high places. I’m talking about those crazy, towering skyscrapers that Dubai is chock-a-block with! Here’re some of our "high" adventures and celebrations in the past. Enjoy!

Another towering place coming up, the Highest View Lounge, Gevora Hotel, Dubai, the “Tallest Hotel in the World”. Really, no kidding. It even has a display at its lobby proclaiming that. Happy Birthday Mommy, 2023

What did I tell ya? Gevora Hotel, the "Tallest Hotel in the World!" says the plaque. It’s in the Guinness Book of Records
OK, enough of those lofty heights. Back at ground level, this is Emaar Square, the offices of Emaar, the people who built the Burj Khalifa, and the Address Hotel, etc, etc… It was also one of the places where property transfers take place, if you purchase a property in Dubai. You won’t believe how full that place is when we were there for the transfer. People here are rich!!!

The Museum of the Future, from Dubai One Central (which was one of the places where we would have to go, to get our COVID-19 vaccine. Remember those days??). On the extreme left, is part of one of the Emirates Towers, and right beside this, the building topped with a golden, tent-like, roof, is the Gevora Hotel!
That’s it for today. On a more solemn tone, I have a friggin surgery to do next week. Right after the anniversary. It’s a, …wait for it, “Ligation of Intersphincteric Fistula Tract” (LIFT), and a Fistulectomy, to get rid of a bloody (yeah, literally) fistula. It’s like a spare quarter-of-a-butthole that I never wanted. Wish me luck that it’ll be a success, and that it’ll be taken care of for good, without complications. I do pray that it’ll heal in time for us to go on our December holidays!
